Meet the Team
Michele DeSmet, MHA, CPA
Michele earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Central Michigan University and a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Minnesota. She is a certified public accountant in the state of Michigan and has public accounting experience with Deloitte and Ernst & Young. Michele has more than 30 years of experience in accounting and finance in a variety of healthcare and nonprofit organizations across the country. She served as CFO for a community mental health agency and has led Revenue Integrity teams at Mass General Brigham, Corewell Health, and Henry Ford Health.
William DeSmet, MBA
Bill earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Michigan – Dearborn and an MBA from Central Michigan University. He has over 33 years of experience in accounting and operations in the banking, healthcare and
non-profit industries, and has served as CFO for several non-profit organizations in Michigan. A dedicated advocate for continuous improvement, Bill earned a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification and an MBA with a focus on Value Driven Organizations. His strong commitment to community service is reflected in his 18 years of leadership on various local non-profit boards.
